Things To Do In Wicklow: Powerscourt Waterfall

It might have cost €5.50 each to get into the grounds. It might have been pretty darn cold. But we persevered and visited Powerscourt waterfall after lunch on Wednesday. It looked like late afternoon and after working at 5am it felt like the middle of the night to me.

The best part of exploring Ireland in winter is no one else is around. Other than a few groups of people who came and went very quickly, Tiernan and I had the waterfall all to ourselves. This is a very small sample of the pictures I took. About a million of Tiernan up by the waterfall – being very naughty and dangerous.

Surprisingly the cafe was open, so we snacked on chips in the car (for warmth) and observed the outside. Then, on the way home, we stopped in the forest. There were so many Ents! (Big trees looking after the skinny ones).

Probably the most interesting part of the day was when, after 11 months, I figured out how to use the motion capture function on my slr!
