A little late for the vlog this week, but better late than never! Tiernan has pulled together some of the best parts of our camping trip to Piha and I am really enjoying the memories.
We have written a companion post about how to camp like a kiwi (or really, camp like my family) over at Celt & Kiwi! Remember to check that out as well unless you read it back in January – in which case, you’re all good. This week’s new posts are going to be about trendy savings challenges and an awesome pub/restaurant in Bangkok – going up Tuesday and Thursday if you’re keen like mustard!
Tiernan has picked up the slack for me this month! The last few months at work have been really busy. It’s been a great summer and the event schedule has been mad. The discipline to come home from work and do something other than watch Gilmore Girls has complete escaped me.
Fortunately, Tiernan has been around Ireland with groups and has filmed some short and sweet, but interesting little videos for our YouTube channel – just to tide you over while I recollect my marbles!
My personal fave is today’s video of King John’s Castle in Limerick.
Tiernan has made three little insights into the life of a tour guide in Ireland. Hopefully a good indication of more to come? Huh, Tiernan? Head over to YouTube to check those out. But only if, you know, you want to.
What’s to come?
I am determined not to stop writing stuff and filming stuff altogether.
For October we have:
- Our Kitten Update to follow on from the June post
- A new house tour video
- More from Killarney
- A trip to Waterford
- Plenty of things to do in County Down
- and… maybe… a little brother Jack update if we can work out A. how to film it and B. I ask him to do it.
Apologies and much love. I’m off to eat ice cream out of the tub!
All good things must come to an end, or so the saying goes. After a very short week we had to leave Venice for Paris. Here is the matching video for last week’s post. One day I’ll get it together and post them all at the same time…
After the wedding Tiernan did a wee bit of filming with our friends and family. Here is our wedding reception in Venice, Italy!
Venice continues! We found the Make Your Own Magnum shop very early on in the trip and finally went back on Day Four to try it! I really over did it on the chocolate there. A chocolate magnum and a thick hot chocolate was really over stretching even my sugar addiction!
The next day was the one we’d all been waiting for – our wedding day. Tiernan seemed to have a lot of time on his hands because he documented the lads getting ready and drinking beer quite closely! Hmm… perhaps I should have given him more chores?
We were lucky to be able to spend such a long time in Venice this time around. I even got to go to Murano, somewhere I’ve wanted to visit for a long time, to see a glass blowing show. Tiernan was able to film inside the showroom and it was amazing to see such beautiful things made out of molten sand. The man made it look so easy.
As well as that there were all the meals, the nights spent in one of the apartments watching the sun set, and all the nonsense conversations we had with friends over beers.
Dun, dun, dun! Part one (of several) of our wedding trip vlogs is up 🙂 We arrive in Venice on the same day as the Rugby World Cup final. An amazing water taxi ride up the Grand Canal was quite the entrance to what would be a brilliant week!
